Vembanad Lake Villas is situated on the outskirts of North Kumarakom, Vaikom- a backwater and canal laced town in Kerala. The grounds sit along the eastern bank of the Lake Vembanad, the largest lake in Kerala. Vaikom town, approximately 4 kilo meters from the Villa, is a small and bustling town, with its markets, street vendors, shops, and a very popular pilgrim destination in the Vaikom Siva Temple. It is a hub of other major tourist destinations in Kerala such as Cochin, Kumarakom (famous for its bird sanctuary), Alapuzha (Alleppey), Munnar, Thekkady, Kovalam, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Varkala, Kozhikode (Calicut), as well as Bangalore, Goa and Madras.
Access - The Villa is accessible by road from all major towns and cities of Kerala. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (Govt. service) and other private service providers run bus services connecting Vaikom town to all the major cities/towns mentioned below either directly or via other hubs. Private car or van transfer from airports can also be arranged up on request and at a charge.
